What happened today?
1. Before expressions
I had a 모임 today. There was a guest who is from monastery. He grew in USA since middle school age. And he wished that bacame the abbot. And today he explained who is the abbot and about catholic church. It was the greatest time. And then, I went to the aladin bookstore to sell my books. They were a bit expensive when I had bought them, but they insisted the book cost was so cheap compared to the original cost.
2. After expressions
Can you make this sentence sound more natural and more like American-style writing?
I attended a gathering today where we had a guest from a monastery. He had grown up in the USA since his middle school years and aspired to become an abbot. He explained to us the role of an abbot and shared insights about the Catholic Church. It was a truly enlightening experience. After the meeting, I went to the Aladin bookstore to sell some of my books. I remembered them being quite pricey when I purchased them, but the store claimed their resale value was much lower than the original price.
